WHAT ABOUT THE HEALTH AND FITNESS INDUSTRY DO YOU FIND INTERESTING?:

The entire evolutionary process. Some of it is cyclical and you see a lot of “new” things that are actually rooted in older and sometimes ancient training systems. Some examples are the Gada (aka steel mace) and Indian clubs. There are so many different modalities out there. Not one is better than the other...you just have to discover what is best for you. Mix, match, and combine to evolve your own practice of fitness. If you need help, that’s why we are here.

WHAT IS YOUR PROGRAMMING APPROACH?:

I take pride in my ability to talk to anyone about anything, and I take this diverse approach to fitness, whereas I believe there is no one way to do anything and take an open approach to achieving individual goals by guiding and supporting rather than dictating what needs to be done. There are thousands of awesome ways to get fit and be healthy, knowing the principles and foundations of these, whether it be combat sports, power lifting, athletic development, yoga or various dietary protocols, allows me to work within the client's ability and keeps it enjoyable.

WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY?:

I was heavier when I was young and wasn’t comfortable or confident so I made some healthy changes and in a few months lost about 20 pounds. In college I fell in love with resistance training and got certified as a personal trainer. As my career progressed I discovered all the health and psychological benefits of exercise. This isn’t just a job for me, helping people and finding the best ways to help people is my passion.

WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT?:

I use health and fitness to be a vehicle to help others do what they love. I love seeing the mental transformations people make when they empower themselves with exercise even more than the physical. When you have a clear head and a healthy body everything else is easier. This is my way to help people be the best versions of themselves.

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST STRENGTHS?:

Experience is a big factor. Although I am always keeping up with all the current research related to fitness and nutrition, the “in the trenches” experience plays a major role. I’ve worked with and learned from some of the best in the industry, and continue to combine the two aspects together in the most efficient way possible for every individual.
